Q: Is the finish laminated
A: There is a top coat applied to the finish to provide protection.
Q: Does the soft white color match the "white" Color of other cabinet styles?
A: Hi Mindy, thank you for inquiry. The Soft White finish is just a little muted compared to the White finish. If the cabinets are sitting next to each other, you may see a subtle difference.

Q: can i get a keyed lock for this cabinet
A: Hi Pat, thank you for inquiry. Since the cabinet is not designed to be locked, we do not recommend modifying the cabinet by adding a lock.
Q: Can I not install shelf's so I can use for vacuum and mop storage
A: Yes, each shelf is adjustable and can be removed.
Q: Are these cabinets paintable?
A: Hello, thank you for your inquiry. We do not recommend painting these cabinets becaus the top coating that is used could cause premature chipping and ultimately damage the surfaces. Sauder's Limited-Warranty will become void if any modification is made to the furniture such as painting the furniture or applying a new finish.
Q: can i remove all of the shelves and use as a broom closet? will it still be sturdy without the shelves?

Q: Can I purchase extra shelves to add to the inside?
A: Hi Jenny. Great question. Unfortunately, this unit is safety tested to only accommodate the shelves that it comes with in the original packaging. Additional shelves are not available for purchase. Thank you for your understanding.

Q: How does this cabinet attach to the wall? I do not see a screw plate at the top back of the cabinet.
A: The safety strap from the furniture restraint kit is fastened to the underneath side of the top. The safety strap is then anchored by having the long screw placed into a stud of the wall. If it cannot be attached to a stud, a wall anchor should be inserted into the wall. Then, attach the strap with the long screw into the wall.
Q: Is this solid wood?
A: The HomePlus Storage Cabinet is made from engineered wood which is a combination of high-quality hard wood and soft wood residuals of other lumber processes.
Q: Is Dakota Oak black?
A: The Dakota Oak finish has subtle coffee brown undertones that complement a dark grain pattern. It is a dark brown finish.
Q: How much weight can each shelf hold?
A: The Home Plus Storage Cabinet can hold up to 50 lbs. on the bottom, and up to 25 lbs. on each adjustable shelf. We do not recommend any weight on the top.

2-Year Limited Warranty
1. Sauder Woodworking Co. (Sauder®) provides limited warranty coverage to the original purchaser of this product for a period of two years from the date of purchase against defects in materials or workmanship of Sauder furniture components. As used in this Warranty, “defect” means imperfections in components which substantially impair the utility of the product. This Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
2. There is no warranty coverage for defects or conditions that result from the failure to follow product assembly instructions, information or warnings, misuse or abuse, intentional damage, fire, flood, alteration or modification of the product, or use of the product in a manner inconsistent with its intended use, nor any condition resulting from incorrect or inadequate maintenance, cleaning, or care. There is also no warranty coverage for rented products or any products purchased “used” or “as is”, at a distress or going-out-of business sale, or from a liquidator.
3. As the exclusive remedy under this Warranty, Sauder will (at its sole option) repair or replace any defective furniture component. Sauder may require independent confirmation of the claimed defect and proof of purchase. Replacement parts will be warranted for only the remaining period of the original Warranty. SAUDER SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY for ANY INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY KIND and all such damages are EXCLUDED FROM THIS WARRANTY, such as loss of use, disassembly, transportation, labor or damage to property on or near the product. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
4. This Warranty applies only to warranted defects that first arise and are reported to Sauder within the warranty coverage period. The Warranty cannot be transferred to subsequent owners or users of the product, and it shall be immediately void in the event the product is resold, transferred, leased or rented to any third party or person other than the original purchaser.
5. THERE ARE NO OTHER WARRANTIES APPLICABLE TO THIS PRODUCT. Under the laws of certain states, there may be no implied warranties from Sauder and all implied warranties, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE are disclaimed where allowed by law. TO THE EXTENT ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES ARE APPLICABLE, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE DURATION OF THIS EXPRESS WARRANTY or the minimum period allowed by law, whichever is shorter.
